PROJECT7's X01 specifications are modeled based on existing track data of a high performance petrol bike, not trying to set the bar for electric bikes but instead focusing on how to get ICE performance from an electric package.
PROJECT7's X01 uses a Whole System Design approach to develop the bike as an extremely efficient drive train with two wheels instead of trying to get as much parts as possible into a conventional design. All parts except wheels and shock absorbers have been designed from the ground up to maximize efficiency and are 100% handbuilt in Belgium.
The Vehicle Control Unit, the brain of PROJECT7's X01, is an open platform, monitoring the bike's vital functions and collecting all external data in order to maximize the efficiency of transforming the battery pack's energy into speed. Different mappings can be explored to change the throttle and engine brake feel of the bike so it can adapt to your driving style.
As the science of storing energy is quickly evolving, PROJECT7's X01 can be delivered with a battery pack leasing plan, as the battery itself is considered as a consumable that can be safely returned to the manufacturer for recycling. This approach has allowed a very optimized packaging design and has the promise of letting your bike evolve without going through the hassle of replacing internal parts.
