Review for Arrow COMPETITION EVO-2 Full Titanium system[/h]Brand: ARROW
Model: COMPETITION "EVO-2 Full Titanium" full system with dBKiller with carby end cap
Code: 71106CKR
Web: Arrow Special Parts (

Although there’s an active thread on this forum about
http://www.s1000rrforum.com/forum/exhaust-fuel-delivery/8602-new-arrow-exhaust.html, I decided to post my comments through an individual thread. To justify this approach, I will give my feedback with concerns to:
a) comparison with Akrapovic Evolution “Shorty”
b) exhaust’s compatibility with Ilmberger 1-Piece race belly pan
The system was delivered from Biohazardcycles.

Commuting tire[/h]Hi all,
I'm searching for a tire that is able to pull long milage. Using the bike most for commuting to work and need a tire that's wear resistant. Idea's?

Might get a S1KRR. Some questions...[/h]Looking at a all black - post recall build S1K due in 40 days...
What kind of street (no track) engine life are you guys getting before any type of re build? What repairs vs milage are needed? I know a lot of factors, just want generalities.

rattle over 4k rpm[/h]hey guys do any of you have a weird rattle noise coming from the front end at over 4000 rpm.
It sounds like a loose bolt somehwere on the front by the clip ons but everything seems tight and it does it right over 4000 rpm and it doesnt matter what throttle position its on either. Sounds like a loose bolt with a washer just rattleing away, idk how else to explain it.

how you guys getting on with the anti-wheelie?[/h]I had another ride on the bike today (demo) and it was nice to get a real ride on it and also compare it to my 09 R1 which my friend was riding. Last time i took it out in Feburary it was still a bit cold to get a real feel for it.
Anyway, today the only real fault i could find or want to change was the anti-wheelie. As the front wheel wants to come off the floor in 2nd and 3rd gears all the time i would like a little more angle before electronics cut in.

Track Video: Laguna Seca 7th of July 2012.[/h]Had a great day at Laguna, despite the pitiful 90db sound limit. I took a bunch of friends with me for their first Motorcycle track day ever and my Wife, Sarah, who was in the intermediate group for the first time (She's the white Triumph daytona 675R I lap towards the end).
The BMW S1000R was amazing!! I was on Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres with 3000 miles and 2 track days on them, but they held up ok... Not a single missed shift, not a single issue or problem.

cctl issues?[/h]I'm hearing something when Yolie gets hot, generally around the 4k-5k range. Experience with Honda's has me thinking it sounds like the cctl. I also see posts talking about APE manual cctls here. But not the reasons for installing them.
Is the cctl a weak spot in the s1000rr, like with Honda's and other bikes?
