I Finland har vi åtminstone nåt liknande, Ducati cup'en: http://www.ss-cup.fi/DATA_01A.html Tyvärr bara på finska.

Hojarna köpes i färdigt "racepaket". Då ingår allt, inklusive anmälningsavgift, och så förbinder man sig att tävla i minst 3 tävlingar.

Alltså, bara att tuta å köra.

I go-kart finns ju formelklasser før att hålla kostnaderna nere.
Dvs en klass där motor/däck osv är samma, jag børjar tävla om något sånt kommer.
Folk tävlar ju med allt, gs500e och sv650 o fan vet allt før junk.
Men om alla kør på lika vilkor blir det tight racing med bäste førare som vinnare.
Jag tycker det är synd att man kan "køpa" tid, jag vill inte jobba och slita før att
all min deg ska gå till min hobby, kan ju vara gott o ta en bers nångång osv

Sorry...I'm a noob here...so forgive the dumbass question. But do you work for SVEMO or some other org that can arrange a track / cornerworkers / and an ambulance-medic?

I also posted this on a danish forum...see if we can get some B-licensed riders from over there. (Maybe they'll bring some beer that's stronger than 2%...for after the race)

I dont work for SVEMO, thank god, but I represent LMS (Linköpings Motorsällskap) and we usually organizes a B-race every atumn where only B licensed driverers is welcome and we have a little different machine classes. Last year we had 125cc std instead of 125jnr that has age limitations on all other races i Sweden, 125-400cc so to make td350 and such bikes possible to use, and then the ordinary 600 and 1000cc.

I dont se any problem creating something that would fit some sv650:s so if you get me the drivers I will do my best to create a race for you.

250SP and SV650 has pretty much the same performance. Adding a special rule for 4stroke 650cc 2 cyl in the 125-400cc class could be a solution. That would fit a standard monster too...

and the smokers eating the fatty, wobbly handling 4 strokes with corner speed on the corner entries and late braking...

Jag skrev bara att om man tillåter SV650 i en standardklass tillsammans med de andra hojar som nämndes så är det ju ingen idé att köra med en 400kubikare. Det är väl inget provocerande?

And what´s the problem with std 600? I´ve done nothing but changed pads and oil for one and a half year now. I can´t see how it can become easier and cheaper. Why another class when we have to many already?

The problem is that you're required to have an A on your license in order to participate in 600 production. One other thing is that you need a modern jap 4-cyl bike that costs more than a SV650 to be competitive.

Plus...I'm thinking of a series that is more relaxed (this is a huuuuuuge assumption on my part since I've never actually seen a 600 std race in person here in sweden...I'm going on experience from back home) and caters to the hobbyist.

Back home in 600's, the novice/rookie grids are waaay too huge and packed full of heroes who can be quite dangerous. If you get to move up to epert classes/nationals...then the 600's gets waaaay too professional. Unless you're willing to anti up each year to buy the latest and greatest and are prepared to throw serious money or be fast enough to get sponsorship...you'll never break into the top 5.

Which is where a standard class catering to an older rider would come in. I'm not talking about a bunch of old farts puttering around on a track watsing everyones time. I'm talking about real racing...competition...but in good spirit...noone is fast enough nor is the series important enough to get sponsorship so the riders are doing this out there own pocket...mods are by rule kept to a minimum so there won't be the pressure to spend your kids college fund on your bike...and the grids will be smaller so it'll be safer passing...keep it to b lic riders so you won't get the real serious racer into the mix.

As it looks now, the interest doesn't seem to be there...only a couple people have signed up to the list. I don't get it...sweden's not that small...bike ain't THAT expensive here. Shit if you go to DE to pick up an SV on ebay you can get one for as little as SEK 20K. Now that's cheap. I can understand in DK, country with half the population of SE, only 2 good racetracks in the whole damn country, and taxes out the ass that make bikes and parts so friggin expensive.

Are there any SV clubs in Sweden? Maybe could stir up some interest there.
