SWISS MOTO2 constructor Suter is in the process of building a BMW S1000RR-based MotoGP racer, which could be ready for testing by July this year, it has been revealed.
Headed by boss and former racer Eskil Suter, the company is aiming for their machine to compete in 2012 MotoGP, when the series reverts back to allowing the use of 1000cc engines.
The bike is expected to make its official track debut at Brno in August, the week after the Czech Republic MotoGP race.
"We think we can have the bike on track already in July," said Suter. "We would like to be ready for the second MotoGP test, at Brno, in mid-August. Our rider would likely be Roberto Rolfo, who is already our test rider for Moto2."
