Glömt å glömt, rätt många choppers saknar frambroms av estetiska skäl.

Du är inte så intresserad av serier eller? Marvel Comics (t.ex. X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk, Daredevil m.fl) har gjort serier om Ghost Rider lååångt innan våran egen Ghostrider började göra filmer.

Första gången som Ghost Rider var med i en serietidning var 1949. Fast då red han på en häst. Sen kom Marvel Comics en ny variant av Ghost Rider år 1967, dock fortfarande på häst. Sen döpte Marvel om den Ghost Rider till Night Rider aka. Phantom Rider. Och i början på 80-talet (som du sa) kom ytterligare en ny Ghost Rider på motorcykel.

Här är lite urklipp från ett "fans" sida.

Det han referar till som "orginal" är alltså den första Ghostrider som kör motorcykel. Den han refererar till som "current" är alltså den som är aktuell nu.
Men vilken av dessa två som filmen är gjord om vet jag inte.


GHOST RIDER (original): Ghost Rider first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #5 (There was a Ghost Rider before this, but he was a stupid Western character and Marvel later changed his name to Night Rider). The Ghost Rider was created when stunt-cyclist John Blaze made a pact with the devil to save the life of a friend. Needless to say, the devil (Mephisto) cheated and John still had to honor his side of the bargain and allow his soul to be merged with a demon named Zarathos. This merging caused John to change to a hellfire-charged being with a flaming skull, The Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider had the ability to form his own motorcycle out of hellfire, and shoot blasts of hellfire which burned only the soul of the target. He rode across the country, seeking vengeance for murdered innocents by night, while living as John Blaze during the day. The demon was finally trapped in a mystic crystal (called the Soul Crystal) with another villain named Centurious. This finally freed John Blaze and he rode off into the sunset. The first series ended in 1984 (I think) with Ghost Rider volume 1, issue #81. John Blaze re-appeared in Ghost Rider volume 2, issue #14. He was hunting the new Ghost Rider (see below) to make sure that Zarathos wasn't back. During a battle with the new Ghost Rider, Blaze absorbed some of the hellfire from GR's body and was able to channel hellfire through his weapons (a shotgun and a knife). This power came about (we find out later) because he had one of the pieces of a mystic medallion. Anyway, Blaze and Ghost Rider make nice and team up to fight bad guys. A new title is spawned, named Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance. This title was cancelled at issue #22. Blaze then appeared solo in a mini-series (Blaze: Legacy of Blood), and in his own series (just called Blaze) which was cancelled at issue #11.



GHOST RIDER (current): This incarnation of the Ghost Rider appeared in Ghost Rider volume 2, issue #1 in 1990. This Ghost Rider has a very different origin from his predecessor. Dan Ketch and his sister Barbara were cutting through the Cypress Hills Cemetary on their way home and stumbled into a crime in progress. (A drug deal, I think it was, I'll have to dig out my back issues to be sure.) Barbara was shot with a crossbow and died in Dan's arms. As Dan was running away he stumbled across a motorcycle with a strange, glowing emblem on the gas cap. He put his hand to the emblem and with a "WHOOSH" of hellfire and a painful transformation, the newest Ghost Rider was born. With a thirst for vengeance the equal of the first, he hunts those who have spilled innocent blood. The transformation only occurs when innocents are harmed. He does not have the ability to blast hellfire or create a cycle from it, but he does wield a magical chain and he has the "penance stare" (which makes the guilty feel all the pain that their victims have felt). His currently makes his home in the Bronx. (and he's probably going to be cancelled...) [NOTE: Ghost Rider 2099 will not be discussed here as he is cybernetic and not magical. He is something totally different from the current Ghost Rider, and unless a get a lot of requests to the contrary, I'm not explaining him.]

OfT: Trådlyftar-VM är igång igen.
OnT: Tyvärr så är de enda serier jag har läst lite "nyare" i tiden så att säga.. Svenska Kalle Anka & CO, Megapyton (mycket högkulturella serier.. inte), Herman Hedning och annat trevlans. Har bara kollat på serierna Buttman och Spiderman etc.
