Jag går i funderingarna att porta och möjligen plana toppen på min ZX9-motor, och fick svaret av en gammal räv i gamet:
"Compression is the number one way to get more power from a ZX7 or 9. You just have to be very careful to not take too much and work out the piston to valve clearance. Dan Zlock only recommends to open up the short side radius on these heads as the turn is too tight. Anything else really does not gain enough to bother. Do not port the exhaust as it just does not need it. The other is to remove any casting flash, port match the intake boots and smooth out any imperfections in the bowl. Do not polish the intake or bowl."
Jag förstår det mesta av detta, sånär som på:

Kan någon i expertispanelen förklara denna rad så att en vanlig dödlig förstår?
