[TD]Welcome to the June edition of the
S1000RRforum.com newsletter.
For this months newsletter we have a couple threads that should help answer a frequently asked question "S1000RR or 1199". We also have a video of a bike setting a really fast laptime at the Nurburgring. To finish off this months newsletter we have several other threads for your browsing enjoyment. We hope you enjoy this months newsletter and see you on the forum soon.

RR and Panigale[/h]My friend has a tri calore panigale. It's a pretty bike, but after having ridden it, I can say that I wouldn't trade him even if he threw in a pile of money. I think the BMW is just that much better in every way. I'm sure there are folks that would disagree, but that's my opinion, and sadly, his too.
Here's some pics.
As you can see in the last shot, my 5 year old son's black BMW S1000RR blows them both away.

how reliable is the s1k[/h]I'm looking into getting a s1000, probably within the next month or so. A used 2010 sells for about $14,000 here. A 2012 from the dealer is around $17,700 Canadian plus taxes and all the other fees the dealer adds on. Things that concern me are the 2012 recall. From what I understand BMW takes apart the engine and replaces the conn rod bolts. Do the dealers do good work on the rebuilds, or should I wait for a post recall bike if i choose to buy a new one.

Anyone move to an 1199S after the S1000RR (or with one)[/h]Sold my 2011 S1000RR and have an 1199S on order as well as a 2012 S1000RR - has anyone actually taken delivery of the 1199S? If so - what are the pros and cons? Clearly different bikes - and unfortunately, it's still not possible to get a delivery on a 2012 RR (but the Ducs are being delivered very slowly).

Bags-Connection "Trip" Tank bag review[/h]So searched the forum and found a few threads on tank bags and few on tailbags, but decided to start new one to just describe my experience with Bags-Connection "Trip" quick lock tank bag, get to know what people say/think and will do my best to answer questions if anyone will have any.
So, I've had this bag since March (2012).

Which full system would you buy?[/h]First off, I placed this here in General since IMHO it's less of a technical topic and more of an opinion. Also, the amount of traffic over the the Exhaust sub forum.
Looking to get a full system for my bike. Mainly to lighten it up some, make it look better, and give it a bit more mid rage.
The systems I've been considering are:
1. Akrapovic EVO Ti.
2. Brocks CT
3. Leo Vince ( I think the headers are SS, therefore not as light as a full Ti system).

Converting to a race bike[/h]Sooo......
I am thinking of taking the leap and making my S1K a dedicated track bike (possibly a race bike).
Can anyone suggest a good place to get race plastics.
I will be upgrading the suspension and of course doing all the safety wiring etc, is there anything suggestions you can make on things that could be overlooked and/or needed.
Thanks for the help.
