Nedan från Superbikeplanet. Men att han skulle överväga AMA Superbike tror jag är ett missförstånd.
"Even his harshest critics would agree that Max Biaggi's 2007 World Superbike season has been a cracker, and would not dispute that Biaggi could very well win the coveted WSBK title in 2008.
Biaggi has won two races in his maiden WSBK season, including the opening race, and has been on the podium fourteen times, with two rounds remaining.
Considering he had no previous knowledge of several of the WSBK tracks, limited pre-season testing on the spec Pirelli tires and that this is his first season on any kind of Superbike, that Biaggi is currently in third place in the championship and still has a distant mathematical chance at the title is pretty amazing. Or proof that MotoGP riders are instant contenders in WSBK.
With circuit and tire knowledge now firmly in his bag of tricks, Biaggi's chances at winning the '08 title are quite good.
However, at this point, questions remain as to where exactly Biaggi will be racing in 2008.
Reportedly, Suzuki let the option on Biaggi's current contract expire and it'll take some doing to get him back into the Suzuki fold for 2008. That said, Biaggi does feel that with increased support from Suzuki he could win the title in 2008.
A multi-time 250 world champion, Biaggi would seem to be the textbook example of a rider needed to win in the 800cc MotoGP era. He has options in MotoGP; it's rumored that the Konica Minolta team have made him an offer to race their bike on Michelins, and are ready to pay Biaggi's hefty salary requirement. Michelin, too, are said to want Biaggi back in the MotoGP fold.
Several possible Biaggi/WSBK scenarios could make rival team managers' hearts stop beating momentarily.
Mull over the potential of Biaggi on a customer Ducati, perhaps? Or, few would debate that the potential for Biaggi on a ten Kate Honda. Could that be described as anything short of lethal—in terms of a threat to win the title?
Outside chance at best, but worth noting: In some very brief chats Soup had with Biaggi this Summer (funny who you see in line at the LAX Starbucks) it was clear that Biaggi was open to racing in the US, for the right team and package.
Biaggi has long owned a home in California, trains here during the summer and is a dyed in the wool Supercross fan."

Då skulle Toseland o Haga på fabriksgrejer som går bättre än Max i wsbk steka dom flesta i motogp o själva vara feta utmanare till titeln i motogp..?
