Hello, Buongiorno !

Sorry if I write in english but maybe it is better than in italian ...

Please, can You give me Your opinions on FS650E 2002 with 1800kms, serviced and ready to roll ....
I have a chance to swap my Monster to this, and now I need convincing from the mother land of Husabergs that I am doing a right thing, and if not, why.
Please let me know if there is any things I need to verify on the bike before deciding.
The bike has been in privat use, no tracks, no races.

Speriamo prossima moto sara Husaberg

Well theres some things you need to check. The most important of them all is how well the seller has served it. A well-served husa with 20000km could be ALOT better than one with 1500km!

Some things that will differ alot from your monster:
Service intervals - You will get need to do like 50 times more often
Vibrations - Do not choose a husa if you want to cruise along the coast to spain...
For a start, jerky engine - You will learn to handle it with time, on the far bottom and with steady gas it will be jerky. This is no way to treat a husaberg anyways ;)
Fun factor - You will come home with a smile every time it hasnt broken down ;D

Well, most of these aspects will you get with all race-motards. Husaberg is better at some things while Husky/KTM is better at other things...

Excuse me for funny/crappy english ;D

Dont börn rings on the fotbollsplain!

tack så mycket OlleR,
the other I am not sure what to say but thank for response anyway.

The machine is now at 1780kms. THe first owner has been using it for street cruise, and after that he has "depotenziated" it to let his son to take a driving permit.... (depotenziating means restricting the hp to very low level, like the 125 cc starter bike, they use this a lot here in Italy).
Now the bike is set up again for the real power and the service has been executed by a mechanic for a Husaberg Enduro team here in Toscana.
The dealer gives me one year warranty, reliable as a dealer as they have done all with my Duc. I have done 30000kms on my Monster (also visited in Sweden 2003) and now is time to slow down (2 kids) and enjoy all small "giros" in the close by hill roads,,,,,
I know some mechanics due to my 2 FLSTCs in the garage but I will leave the 100 hours service for my dealer to learn it better.
Keep them opinions coming in, and thank You for a great site.

100 Hours service means like ripping apart the engine and changing like every disposable part ;D

Well it isnt actually that bad but thats what excelent service means, check the manual (you can download it in pdf on their site)!

Well it isnt all bad with the husa either, I just want you to be prepared, every hour in the garage pays off by every minute you are out running it! I think you will enjoy it ALOT once you get used to the service part! Wonderfull power and weight! You should be ready to put some more money into tires then you do today tho ;)
