Following Aussie Chris Vermeulen's recent run of great form, a special-edition, MotoGP replica of Suzuki's GSX-R1000 sportsbike stunner will land down under in the coming weeks.
Featuring a sensational Suzuki MotoGP blue livery, as used by Vermeulen and team-mate Loris Capirossi on the world stage, just 50 of the hotly-anticipated motorcycles will be available in Australia.
"The GSX-R1000 is already a superb-looking motorcycle and the special-edition MotoGP replica looks amazing," Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said.
"With Chris Vermeulen and Loris Capirossi's recent run of strong performances and the Australian Grand Prix approaching, demand is set to be high for this special-edition model."
Like the MotoGP GSV-R, the road-going GSX-R1000 is packed with Suzuki's latest technology.
An advanced 999cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is the most powerful, most responsive and cleanest-running open-class powerplant ever produced by Suzuki.
A regular race winner in the Australian Superbike Championship, the GSX-R1000 combines that power with a range of class-leading features and high-performance components.
Suzuki's unique Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) digital engine management system gives riders the choice of three performance settings from a handlebar-mounted switch.
The cutting-edge, lightweight chassis delivers sharp and agile handling, complementing race-bred suspension, brakes and aerodynamic bodywork.
In addition to the distinctive Suzuki MotoGP blue, the special-edition GSX-R1000 includes a decal kit, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to complete the race replica look.
Suzuki's MotoGP replica GSX-R1000 will be available shortly for an RRP of $18,490*, with a two-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
