Nytt race söndag 19/9 på ny bana!
Aragon bana blir förhoppningsvis en av nästa helgs trevliga bekantskaper!!
Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Hiroshi Aoyama have become the latest MotoGP riders to get an early taste of the new Aragon circuit, which will host its first grand prix event next weekend.
With strict limits on MotoGP testing, all riders were using road bikes to learn the layout, which Rossi, who rode an R1, described as "fast", "complicated but fan" with the entry to turn 16 a particular challenge.
Factory Honda rider Dovizioso, riding a CBR1000RR, stated that the new Spanish circuit should provide plenty of overtaking opportunities and a "fun race".
Rossi's Fiat Yamaha team-mate and title leader Jorge Lorenzo, plus Dovizioso's Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Ducati riders Nicky Hayden, Aleix Espargaro and Mika Kallio have previously lapped the circuit on road bikes.
The Aragon circuit, the third of fourth Spanish rounds this season, replaces the twice postponed Hungarian round, at the unfinished Balatonring.
Aragon is scheduled to drop back down to reserve status after this season, but with Hungary doubtful to happen it would be no surprise if it becomes a regular fixture on the grand prix calendar.
