Hej, new to the forum, and need help already!

I just brought my bike over from england where its been sat for a couple of years (with fuel in it)!

Only used it a couple of times and it was a pig to start, but did run ok. Then the other day it was not firing on cylinder 1. I drained the fuel, stripped and cleaned the carbs, and replace the sparkplugs. I rigged up a fuel bottle to run it without the airbox and fuel tank, and now its not firing on number 3 (and maybe 2 also) as when I disconnect the coil nothing happens.

Any ideas please?

Hi, I didnt check the plug, as it was too hot to get my hand in there. But I could see fuel being sucked in through the carb. The plugs were all replaced when I removed the carbs. But when I first started it up it was dead only on 3 according the the manifold temperature. Then later it seemed dead on 2 also. I removed one of the connections to the coil for 2/3 and nothing happened, so it was just running on 1 & 4.

You might have bad wiring to the spark plugs as well, old and dried up.

Mmmm, its a bit difficult to check the cables as theyre fixed to the coils. Theres some 2nd hand on ebay, but no guarantee they're any better than what I have. After all, they're 22 years old as well.
