"Motorcycle Daredevil Makes Record Jump
Man Beats Old Record By 33 Feet
KENT, Wash. -- A motorcycle daredevil set a record in Washington state last weekend when he jumped his bike 310 feet.
It happened in Kent, Wash., not far from Seattle.
Ryan Capes, 25, known to friends as "The One," launched his motorcycle the length of a football field before landing safely at the other end.
That's about 30 feet further than the old distance record of 277 feet.
To be successful, Capes had to hit the take off ramp at more than 70 mph and stay in the air for at least three seconds."
