Blir man inte glad av att lyssna på detta, (om man är det minsta begiven på gitarr, vill säga), bör man nog kolla om man har puls.

Tommy Emmanuel spelar även trummor…

Long Time Gone

Jag kontrar:

Visserligen Nash som skrivit den, men texten passar så bra in på Crozz.

Just a song before I go
To whom it may concern
Traveling twice the speed of sound
It's easy to get burned
When the shows were over
We had to get back home
And when we opened up the door
I had to be alone
She helped me with my suitcase
She stands before my eyes
Driving me to the airport
And to the friendly skies
Going through security
I held her for so long
She finally looked at me in love
And she was gone
Just a song before I go
A lesson to be learned
Traveling twice the speed of sound
It's easy to get burned

När jag tänker på det är den låten faktiskt gruppens andra melodi om utbrändhet.

Mer än 50 år sedan. Långt innan ämnet blev mainstream.

In the mornin' when you rise
Do you think of me, and how you left me cryin'?
Are you thinkin' of telephones, and managers
And where you got to be at noon?
You are living a reality I left years ago
It quite nearly killed me
In the long run, it will make you cry
Make you crazy and old before your time
And the difference between me and you
I won't argue right or wrong
But I have time to cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
I said cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
I said cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
In the mornin' when you rise
Do you think of me, and how you left me cryin'?
Are you thinkin' of telephones, and managers
And where you got to be at noon?
You are living a reality I left years ago
It quite nearly killed me
In the long run, it will make you cry
Make you crazy and old before your time
And the difference between me and you
I won't argue right or wrong
But I have time to cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
I said cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
I said cry, my baby
You don't have to cry
