Yoshimura unlocks the power of the new 2005 GSX-R1000
SPECIALIST Japanese tuning firm Yoshimura visited the Crescent Performance Centre in Verwood this week to give a technical briefing on the performance of the new Suzuki GSX-R1000K5.
Yoshimura has been developing the eagerly awaited GSX-R1000K5 hand-in-hand with the Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan and has a range of kit racing parts that race teams can source to unlock its enormous performance potential.
Crescent is the official Yoshimura race kit part supplier in the UK, the home to the Championship winning Rizla Suzuki British Superbike team and will also manage the 2005 Suzuki MotoGP squad, making it the ideal venue for the launch of the new tuning parts for the GSX-R1000K5.
Everything from a four-into-one exhaust system with offset oil pan to a camshaft, valve cotter, cylinder head gasket, piston kit, air funnel kit, airbox, clutch springs, back torque limiter spring kit, transmission kit, fuel tank, brake pads and a new Engine Management Professional kit was on display.
In addition, Yoshimura suggested base chassis and suspension settings for the new GSX-R1000K5 after testing the bike extensively on tracks in Japan.
Fujio Yoshimura, head of the World famous tuning house, said: "We have only had a very short development period but even at this early stage, the new GSX-R1000K5 is already starting to supply higher power figures on our engine dyno.
"Also at the test track, we are starting to experience much better chassis character over the K4 model. We strongly believe the GSX-R100K5 with our new kit can provide the best race-winning package that you can obtain at this time.
"Yoshimura is pleased to be able to make this presentation with its partners at Crescent and Suzuki GB. We are looking forward to a winning 2005 with the GSX-R1000K5."
Tapping into the increasing popularity of off-road riding and racing, Yoshimura also displayed its new tuning parts for the RM-Z250 and 450, further showcasing its expertise in four-stroke engine development.
All Yoshimura race kit parts are available in the UK exclusively through Crescent. For further details, contact Ashley Pierson on 01202-820170 or visit www.crescent-suzuki.com.
