The new Fantic R 250 is finally ready to hit the track: after several months of development, former 125 World Champion Arnaud Vincent and rookie Gabriele Ferro were recently given the opportunity to discover the new Italian 250cc contender.
The bike was revealed to the riders at the factory, after being completed in collaboration with CRP Technology under the direction of technical director Franco Moro.
“The bike is ready, we have built it entirely by ourselves. We have invested all our passion in this project,” commented Moro.
Since November and the announcement of the Fantic project, the team had to race against the clock in order to be ready for the start of the Championship. However, the Italian admitted that he still needs more time to develop this new bike.
“The track debut of the bike has been delayed a bit,” says Moro. “I think it´s normal, as it’s a brand new bike. Fantic is a well-known manufacturer, but had been out of the motorcycling scene for almost ten years.”
“The cold and the snow prevented our riders to test the bike in two occasions. I think we’ll test for the first time at the Official Tests at Catalunya and Jerez, by mid-march.”
