OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – EMMA RACING WITHDRAWS FROM REC
The Management for Team 62 – Emma Racing sadly has to inform that the team withdraws from any further comptetion in the REC championship this season. The team currently holds third position in the championship after what has been the most succesful season opener for the team in its 5year history.
On August 4th the team leading rider, Ingmar Stockagård also known as “Strider” on the world famous community “Sporthoj.com” suffered a low speed crash at Anderstorp Raceway with severe consequences to his lower left leg. Stockagård was immediately taken care of by the professional trackside medical unit led by Sister Per. Ingmar was quickly buslifted to the Ortopedic Centre at Mölndal Sjukhus by another “Sporthoj.com” legend, Mr FarFar.
On August 6th Ingmar was operated during a 3hour long operation and the lower left tibia was fixed with 7 titanium screws. Dr Ståhlgren and his team were satified with operation and wishes Ingmar a speedy recovery. “This was a severe pylone fracture where the tibia has been exposed to a lot of violence with several fractures as a result. We have hopes of a good recovery, but the patient has to stay immobilized for at least eight weeks.” said Dr Ståhlgren.
The Management for Team 62 – Emma Racing would to like to thank the teams two other riders, Simon Person and Björn Saete and all other team members for all their efforts during the 2008 season which now has come to an unexpected end.
